Women's tennis McKenna named Pac-10 Player of the Week


ASU sophomore Kelcy McKenna has been named Pac-10 Women's Tennis Players of the Week for Jan. 26 - Feb. 1, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

McKenna led Arizona State to a win over No. 20 Florida State at the ITA Kick-Off in Atlanta, Ga. The North Bend, Ore., native knocked off two ranked oppenents, No. 35 Katie Rybakova of Florida State and defending NCAA singles champion 11th-ranked Amanda McDowell of Georgia Tech, in straight sets for the Sun Devils. In doubles, McKenna and partner Micaela Hein, upended the Yellow Jackets' 4th-ranked duo of McDowell and Irina Falconi, 8-3.

This is the second weekly honor of McKenna's career and the 5th all-time for Arizona State.
