Women's tennis head to Texas for NCAA Individual Championships


<p> Three Arizona State women's tennis players: <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/abdala_nadia00.html">N… Abdala</a>. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/hein_micaela00.html">M… Hein</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/mckenna_kelcy00.html">… McKenna</a>, will compete this week at the NCAA Individual Championships in College Station, Texas. Abdala and McKenna will each compete in the singles bracket, while Hein and McKenna will pair up in doubles competition. The Championships will be held at Texas A&amp;M May 20-25th.</p><separator></separator><p>Junior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/abdala_nadia00.html">N… Abdala</a>, currently ranked 46th in the nation, has torn up the courts this season with a 18-5 overall record, with six of those wins coming over ranked opponents.</p><separator></separator><p>Eighth-ranked sophomore <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/mckenna_kelcy00.html">… McKenna</a> has been a consistent performer on the Sun Devil squad, finishing the regular season 32-12, playing the entire season in the number one spot. The ITA All-American Champion has claimed decisive wins over multiple top-25 opponents including No. 1 Maria Mosolova (Northwestern), No. 2 Aurelija Miseviciute (Arkansas).</p><separator></separator><p>Hein and McKenna have been one of the winningest duos for the Sun Devils, going 17-8 overall this season and climbing the rankings to 21st in the country.
