Women's swimming opens Pac-10 Championships


<p><a href="http://www.pac-10.org/championships/2010-wswim.html">Pac-10 Championships Home Page</a></p><separator></separator><p>The Arizona State women's swimming team opened competition at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships. The 2010 Pac-10 Championships are being held at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool. The Sun Devils stand in eighth following opening day on Wednesday, Feb. 24.</p><separator></separator><p>The 200-yard medley team of <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/martinez_jamie00.html">J… Martinez</a>, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/ejdervik_rebecca00.html"… Ejdervik</a>, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/kuczynski_caroline00.htm… Kuczynski</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/haron_katie00.html">Katie Haron</a> clocked in an NCAA consideration time of 1:39.24. Martinez led the team off clocking a 25.47 second backstroke leg. Ejdervik continued to make up time with the fastest breaststroke split of the night at 27.10. Freshman Kuczynski swam the 50-yard butterfly leg in 24.11 while <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/haron_katie00.html">Katie Haron</a> capped the relay finishing 22.56. The 800 free relay team was disqualified.</p><separator></separator><p>The 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free and 200 free relay will be swam today along with the diving team opening competition.</p><separator></separator><!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
