Women's swim breaks 200 relay record at NCAA Championships


<p> The Arizona State women's swimming and diving team wrapped up day one of the NCAA Championships with a new school record. The 200 free relay team of <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/andrew_caitlin00.html">C… Andrew</a>, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/beckberger_jen00.html">J… Beckberger</a>, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/brown_lindsey00.html">Li… Brown</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/perazzo_jess00.html">Jess Perazzo</a> clocked in a time of 1:29.60, to shatter their record set two weeks prior at the Pac-10 Championships. The time was good enough to win the consolation final, moving them up four spots from the preliminary round.</p><separator></separator><p>Andrew also qualified for the 50 free consolation final. The senior placed fifth in the consolation final with a time of 22.55.</p><separator></separator><p>The Sun Devils stand in 18th with 22 points. Andrew and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/aubry_ashton00.html">Ash… Aubry</a> will compete in the 100 fly. Beckberger, Brown and Perazzo all qualified for the 200 free, while <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/russenberger_lindsey00.h… Russenberger</a> will compete in the 100 breast.</p>
