Women's hoops to play 'Pink Zone' game against Arizona


The ASU-UA women's basketball game, Feb. 20, will be ASU's fourth annual "Pink Zone" game to help raise breast cancer awareness. The game provides an opportunity for the Sun Devils, their fans and the university community to show their support in the fight against breast cancer. Tip-off at Wells Fargo Arena will be at 4 p.m.

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Pink Zone initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

This year Sun Devil head coach Charli Turner Thorne will personally donate 50 cents to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund for every person who buys a ticket to the game. Additionally, fans will be able to make donations at in Pink Zone buckets that can be found around the arena on gameday. Fans wearing pink to the game will be admitted for only $3 while all kids are admitted for $1.
