Women's hoops net third straight win over Beavers
Danielle Orsillo scored 20 points and added three steals to lead Arizona State past Oregon 56-47 Saturday, the Beavers fourth straight loss in Pac-10 play.
Talisa Rhea, the third-leading scorer in the Pac-10 at 16.6 a game, led the Beavers (9-6, 1-4) with 20 points and seven rebounds, in Oregon State 's second worst offensive game of the year.
Tenaya Watson added 12 points and four assists for the Sun Devils (11-6, 3-3), who overcame a sloppy start to win their third straight after losing their first three conference games.
Alex Earl hit a pair of 3-pointers off the bench for Arizona State to give the Sun Devils a 34-27 lead with 15:23 remaining but Rhea, held to six points in the first half, scored seven straight points over a 1:40 span to get the Beavers within 39-36 with 8:55 left. However, Watson followed with a 3-point play and Oregon State never got closer than five the rest of the way.
Becca Tobin added eight rebounds and six blocked shots as Arizona State forced 21 Beaver turnovers, leading to 21 points.

The two teams combined to miss 16 of their first 23 shots and commit 11 turnovers in the first 10 minutes, keeping the score low, at 8-8.
Orsillo scored 13 first-half points, including six of the last eight by the Sun Devils to help Arizona State to a 24-21 lead at the break, despite the Sun Devils' 9-of-26 shooting.
Arizona State played without forward Kali Bennett, who averages 6.7 points and 5.9 rebounds a game, after the sophomore transfer was suspended Saturday by the Pac-10 after a double foul call in Thursday's win over Oregon was reviewed. Bennett fouled out on the call with Victoria Kenyon, who also sat out a game on Saturday.
Arizona State has beaten Oregon State 14 straight times, dating back to 2003.
