Women's golf in second at Edean Ihlanfeldt


SEATTLE, Wash. - The third-ranked Arizona State women's golf team continues to maintain its second-place position after the second round of the 2007 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational. ASU shot a two-round total of 20-over 596, nine strokes behind first place USC.

Sophomore All-American Anna Nordqvist moved into second place after shooting even-par in the second round for a two-day total of 2-under 142 (70-72). Junior All-American Azahara Munoz is currently in ninth place after shooting a two-round total of 4-over 148 (76-72). Junior All-American Jennifer Osborn and senior Camila Sola shot a two-day total of 9-over 153 (78-75), (77-76), respectively to tie for 30th. Sophomore Juliana Murcia is currently tied for 39th after shooting a two-round total of 11-over 155 (78-77).

Arizona's Alison Walshe leads the tournament shooting a two-round total of 3-under 141.

The final round of the 2007 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational concludes tomorrow at the par-72, 6,127-yard Sahalee Country Club in the Seattle suburb of Sammamish, Wash.
