April 22, 2009

The Arizona State women's golf team moved up to No. 1 in the Golf World/NGCA poll. With 12 votes for the No. 1 ranking over UCLA's 10, the Sun Devils, who had previously been No. 2, reclaimed the top spot from UCLA after finishing three places ahead of the Bruins at the PING/ASU Invitational. The Sun Devils are now ranked first in both the Golf World/NGCA and Golfweek/Sagarin polls.

The Sun Devils and the Bruins will be paired together for the first round of what will undoubtedly be an exciting Pacific-10 Women's Golf Championships. With No. 1 ASU, No.2 UCLA and No. 3 USC battling for the conference crown, the Pacific-10 Women's Golf Championships presented by Duramed begins this Thursday.
