Women's golf ranked fourth in Golf World/NGCA Division I


The Arizona State women's golf team will again enter their season as a preseason top five team. The Sun Devils are ranked fourth in the Golf World/NGCA Division I Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Sun Devils received one first place vote. Fellow Pac-10 teams ranked in the top 25 include No. 1 USC, No. 2 UCLA, No. 13 Arizona and Stanford and California who were tied at No. 20.<br /><br />The Sun Devils had the highest number of golfers ranked in the top 10 Players to Watch with three. Returning NCAA Individual Champion <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/munoz_azahara00.html">Az… Munoz</a> is the preseason No. 2 golfer. Teammate <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/nordqvist_anna00.html">A… Nordqvist</a> who finished fifth at the NCAA Championships enters the season as No. 6 on the &quot;Top 50 Players to Watch&quot; list. Munoz' compatriot <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/ciganda_carlota00.html">… Ciganda</a>, who will join the team in January, cracks the top 10 list at No. 8. Senior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/osborn_jennifer00.html">… Osborn</a> was also named one of the &quot;Best of the Rest&quot; on the Top 50 Players to watch.
