Women's golf hosts Annual PING/ASU Invitational


Tournament Quick Facts

The 11th-ranked Arizona State women’s golf team returns home to the ASU Karsten golf course to host the 37th Annual PING/ASU Intercollegiate, Apr. 1-3, in Tempe, Ariz. Over the course of the Sun Devil’s long-standing home tournament, Arizona State has won the team championship a total of 17 times, most recently with a victory in 2007.

The field for the tournament features nine teams ranked in the top-25 according to Golfstat, including No. 1 USC and No. 2 UCLA. PING/ASU Intercollegiate will also serve as a preview of competition for the Pac-10 conference title, as the ASU Karsten Golf Course will serve as host for the 2011 Pac-10 women’s golf Championships, Apr. 17-19.

Competing in the PING/ASU Intercollegiate: Arizona State, Arizona, California, Denver, New Mexico, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Diego State, Stanford, Texas, TCU, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt, Washington, Washington State.

The 54-hole tournament will be played over the course of three days, with 18 holes played each day. Tee times for Friday and Saturday will begin at 8 a.m. PT, with golfers teeing off on holes one and 10. On Sunday, tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m. PT. The ASU Karsten Golf course is set at a par-72, 6,230-yards, with golfers teeing off the championship tees.
