Women's golf finishes Fourth at Mason Rudolph

The top-ranked Sun Devils carded an 11-under 565 (280-285) on the par-72 6,271-yard North Course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn., to tie with Duke. The tournament was limited to two rounds after weather cancelled yesterday's round. USC won the tournament followed by second-place UCLA and third-place Auburn.</p><separator></separator><p>The Sun Devils were led by newcomer <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/johnson_jennifer00.html"… Johnson</a>. Johnson earned a top-10 finish in her Sun Devil debut as she tied for seventh at 5-under 139 (69-70). The freshman carded two birdies in the final round.</p><separator></separator><p>Senior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/murcia_juliana00.html">J… Murcia</a> tied for 15th. Murcia shot a 3-under 141 (70-71) to earn her second top-20 finish of the season. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/molinaro_giulia00.html">… Molinaro</a> finished at an even 144 (70-74). The sophomore Italian overcame early bogeys with an eagle on hole 18.</p><separator></separator><p><a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/sweeney_jaclyn01.html">J… Sweeney</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/ciganda_carlota00.html">… Ciganda</a> tied for 40th. Sweeney shot a 2-under 70 in the final round to finish 1-over 145 (75-70). Ciganda carded a 1-over 145 (71-74). This is Ciganda's first finish out of the top 20.</p><separator></separator>The Sun Devils will next compete at the Stanford Intercollegiate.
