Women's golf to compete in Hawaii


The third-ranked Arizona State women's golf team travels to Oahu, Hawaii to compete in the 23rd Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawaii. The three-day tournament, March 17-19, will be held at the par-72, 5,829-yard Kane `ohe Klipper Golf Course.

The field for the tournament features three teams ranked n the top-10 according to the Golfweek/Saragin Ratings and the Golf World/NGCA Coaches Poll. The Sun Devils lead the 16-team field ranked third in the nation by Golfweek and No. 4 in the most recent Golf World Poll. Also ranked are: Arizona (6/7) and Oklahoma State (7/9).

The field includes: Arizona, Arizona State, Columbia, Gonzaga, Hawaii, Hawaii Hilo, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Montana State, Nagoya, Oklahoma State, Osaka Gakuin, San Diego State, UTEP, Wyoming and Yale.

Competing for ASU will be junior All-American Azahara Munoz, sophomore All-American Anna Nordqvist, sophomore Juliana Murcia, junior Jennifer Osborn, and sophomore Liisa Kelo. Senior Camila Sola will be playing as an individual.
