Women's basketball defeats Washington

<p><a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/murphy_kayli01.html">K… Murphy</a> scored a career-high 16 points, including five-of-six free throws in overtime, to help Arizona State beat Washington 67-61 Thursday night in Pac-10 play.</p><separator></separator><p>Murphy added 11 rebounds for her third career double-double and also had three assists, three steals and a blocked shot as the Sun Devils (14-7, 6-4 Pac-10) won their fifth game in the last six.</p><separator></separator><p>Laura McLellan scored six of her season-high 18 points in overtime, including a put-back with 3:03 left to tie the game at 59, for the Huskies (9-11, 4-6), losers of five of six.</p><separator></separator><p>However, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/bennett_kali00.html">K… Bennett</a>, who transferred from Washington after her freshman year, put back her own miss with 2:41 left in overtime to give Arizona State a 61-59 lead.</p><separator></separator><!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
