Water polo players impact international competition

Smith finished the tournament with seven goals, including a pair against both Australia and Russia, and Morrison, a new addition to the senior team, saw action in all six games.</p><separator></separator><p>Representing South Africa, both senior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/harris_sarah00.html">Sa… Harris</a> and junior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/white_kelsey00.html">Ke… White</a> started and played most of every game at the World League, played in Greece and France.</p><separator></separator><p>Participating at the European Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, Aug. 31 to Sept. 10, junior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/salloum_mariam00.html">… Salloum</a> recorded two goals and three assists while starting all four games. She helped Germany to a tie against heavily-favored Hungary with a goal and an assist. Germany also played in the World League, defeating Italy twice, England and South Africa.</p><separator></separator><p>Sophomore <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/haas_shannon00.html">Sh… Haas</a> was captain of the United States team at the Junior Pan-Am Games played in Pinecrest, Fla. Haas scored goals and drew a lot of exclusions in leading the US team to a silver medal.</p><separator></separator><!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
