Water polo players earn MPSF All-Academic Honors


<p>Seven members of the water polo team were named MPSF All-Academic scholar-athletes for the 2010 Women's Water Polo season, the conference announced.</p><separator></separator><p>Seniors <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/walsh_kari00.html">Kari Walsh</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/miles_bonnie00.html">Bo… Miles</a> received the recognition for the third straight season, and junior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/unbehaun_nikki00.html">… Unbehaun</a> was honored for the second consecutive time. Junior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/phillippe_candice00.htm… Phillippe</a> was also named to the team, along with sophomores <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/harvey_dana00.html">Dana Harvey</a>, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/salloum_mariam00.html">… Salloum</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/white_kelsey00.html">Ke… White</a>.</p><separator></separator><p>To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically, have completed at least one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is being received, and participated in at least half of the team's games on the season.</p><separator></separator><p>ASU's seven selections were the fourth-most in the eight-team conference, behind California, San Jose State and Stanford.</p><separator></separator><!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
