Volunteer runs to shadow Tempe's Pat's Run
<p> Eight different locations - crossing 10 states - will be holding "shadow" runs on Saturday, April 18, to celebrate the life of <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/tillman_pat00.html">Pat Tillman</a> and extend the reach of Tempe's fifth annual event.</p><separator></separator><p>To date, approximately 250 runners have signed up to participate in shadow runs in San Diego, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Chicago, Austin, Colorado and a tri-state run for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.</p><separator></separator><p>The Los Angeles event will be held at the Rose Bowl - home of the Rose Bowl game on Jan. 1, 1997 where <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/tillman_pat00.html">Pat Tillman</a> played for the undefeated Arizona State football team.</p><separator></separator><p>The Washington DC event is running at East Potomac Park finishing at Haines Point with a post-run barbecue to follow.</p><separator></separator><p>Funds raised through Pat's Run will benefit the <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/tillman_pat00.html">Pat Tillman</a> Foundation, which carries forward Pat's legacy of leadership and civic action through several "leadership through action" programs, including the Tillman Scholars Program at Arizona State University, the National Veterans Scholarship Fund, and the Collegiate Fund for Social Action.</p>
