Volunteer runs to shadow Tempe's Pat's Run


<p> Eight different locations - crossing 10 states - will be holding &quot;shadow&quot; runs on Saturday, April 18, to celebrate the life of <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/tillman_pat00.html">Pat Tillman</a> and extend the reach of Tempe's fifth annual event.</p><separator></separator><p>To date, approximately 250 runners have signed up to participate in shadow runs in San Diego, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Chicago, Austin, Colorado and a tri-state run for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.</p><separator></separator><p>The Los Angeles event will be held at the Rose Bowl - home of the Rose Bowl game on Jan. 1, 1997 where <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/tillman_pat00.html">Pat Tillman</a> played for the undefeated Arizona State football team.</p><separator></separator><p>The Washington DC event is running at East Potomac Park finishing at Haines Point with a post-run barbecue to follow.</p><separator></separator><p>Funds raised through Pat's Run will benefit the <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/tillman_pat00.html">Pat Tillman</a> Foundation, which carries forward Pat's legacy of leadership and civic action through several &quot;leadership through action&quot; programs, including the Tillman Scholars Program at Arizona State University, the National Veterans Scholarship Fund, and the Collegiate Fund for Social Action.</p>
