Volleyball great Christy Nore inducted into the AZ Central HOF


<p>Sun Devil Volleyball was honored Monday as former outside hitter, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/mtt/nore_christy00.html">C… Nore</a> was inducted into the AZ Central Hall of Fame for not only volleyball accolades, but her softball and track &amp; field accomplishments as well. Nore was inducted into the ASU Hall of Fame in 2002.</p><separator></separator><p>A high-school track &amp; field standout at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., Nore set the state record in the 300-meter hurdles in 1985 with a time of 42.67, a mark since untouched. She remains the only female in Arizona state history to beat the 43 second mark in the event.</p><separator></separator><p>She continued on to an amazing career as an outside hitter for the Sun Devils, choosing Volleyball over Track &amp; Field for the Maroon &amp; Gold, where she led the ASU Volleyball team in kills from her sophomore to senior seasons, helping them reach the NCAA Tournament each year.
