Recapping Last Weekend:
Against No. 14 UCLA: The Sun Devils didn’t want nothing but a good time to start out the weekend as they took a .417 attack percentage into the first set against the Bruins and never looked back. The Sun Devil D was out of control at the net, with 12 total blocks on the night, eight block assists coming from Malia Marquardt and six from Sonja Markanovich as ASU rolled to a 25-16, 25-22 and 25-22 SWEEP of the Bruins for their first win over UCLA since 2002, and only seventh in program history.

No. 13 USC: ASU’s D came out and showed the Women of Troy what they had again on Saturday night, posting eight team blocks to USC’s seven, but in the end the Women of Troy just edged out the Sun Devils, even after ASU’s phenomenal second set pull it even at 1-1 headed into the break. USC’s Alex Jupiter was not to be contained though as she put up 31 kills on the night to lead USC to a 25-22, 21-25, 25-21 and 25-22 win.
