Victor Rudd named ASU Male Athlete of the Week

Men's basketball player Victor Rudd has been named ASU's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 19th. Rudd made his biggest contributions to date and gave Sun Devil fans a glimpse of what is to come from the talented freshman. His efforts allowed the Sun Devils to capture a non-conference win over Delaware State.

This past Saturday, Rudd led the Sun Devils to a 76-34 victory over Delaware State. The freshman forward from Los Angeles, Calif. scored a season-high 15 points. He also collected 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. His strong effort off the bench aided the Sun Devils as they scored 40 bench points, which ties the mark for the most in the Herb Sendek era. Rudd has his shot working as he shot a scintillating 85.7 (6-7) from the field including 75% (3-4) from downtown. Rudd and the Sun Devils now prepare for their tough match-up versus San Diego State on December 19th at 4:30 PM.
