Tobin named Female Athlete of the Week

<p> Women's basketball player <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/tobin_becca00.html">Be… Tobin</a> has been named ASU's Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 16th. Her dominating performances against the Washington schools provided the Sun Devils with a much needed scoring punch. The win against Washington State was ASU's first Pac-10 win of the season and they are now 9-6 (1-3 Pac-10) as they host the Oregon schools.<a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/tobin_becca00.html"></… href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/tobin_becca00.html">Be… Tobin</a> averaged 18.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks vs. Washington and Washington State over the weekend. She scored a career high 19 points at Washington on Thursday while missing only one shot the entire night (7-8 FGs, 5-5 FTs). Tobin helped ASU capture its first Pac-10 win of the season by scoring 11 of her 17 points against Washington State in the second half. She made 54.2 percent of her shots for the weekend. Tobin and the Sun Devils will continue play this weekend with games against Oregon and Oregon State University, on Thursday and Saturday respectively.</p>
