Tarver qualifies in first collegiate steeplechase run
<p>The Arizona State University track and field team opened competition at the 51st Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., on Thursday evening with one Sun Devil racing on the day. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-track/mtt/tarver_kauren00.html">K… Tarver</a>, a true freshman, ran her first collegiate 3,000m steeplechase and placed 11th overall in 10:45.94.</p><separator></separator><p>Tarver's time qualified her for the NCAA West Region Championships at the end of May and also ranked her ninth on the ASU all-time Top 10 list.</p><separator></separator><p>Six Sun Devils will compete at the Relays on Friday with several more competing on the final day of the meet (Saturday).
