Sun Devils qualify 11 for tonight's Pac-10 swimming finals
<p> The Sun Devils qualified 11 athletes for tonight's finals of the Women's Swimming Pac-10 Championships. Seven athletes earned NCAA consideration cuts with one athlete earning an automatic qualifying time.</p><separator></separator><p><a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/martinez_jamie00.html">J… Martinez</a> qualified for the "B" consolation final in the 400 IM with a personal best time of 4:21.66. The sophomore took almost over eight seconds off her previous fastest time and was also under the NCAA consideration time. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/evans_ashley00.html">Ash… Evans</a> also qualified for the "B" consolation final after finishing in 4:23.49.</p><separator></separator><p>Martinez set a new personal best and put herself at sixth on ASU's all-time list in the 100 back. The San Jose native touched in under the NCAA "B" cut at 55.82 to put herself in the "A" consolation. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/kardasevic_mirela00.html… Kardasevic</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/brunner_rikka00.html">Ri… Brunner</a> both qualified for the "B" consolation final with times of 56.60 and 57.53 respectively.</p><separator></separator><p><a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/andrew_caitlin00.html">C… Andrew</a> qualified for the Championship Final in the 100 fly. The senior, who holds the ASU record in the event, clocked in a season-best time of 52.66.
