These events will help Sun Devil Fans learn how to reduce their personal risk factors for heart disease. Besides receiving information on how to adopt a healthy lifestyle, fans will have the opportunity to receive a free blood pressure check in the concourse before each event. Fans at both events will also have a chance to win tickets to a Phoenix Mercury game and the Women's Heart Health Fair this spring.</p><separator></separator><p>Currently, heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the United States. One in four women will die of heart disease this year, which is more than all breast cancer and other cancers combined. Unfortunately, studies show that only a third of U.S. women consider themselves at risk for heart disease. These awareness events will help women learn how to make healthy lifestyle changes to reduce their risk.</p><separator></separator><p>Sister to Sister Foundation is a national grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing free heart screenings and heart-healthy information to women. Since its inception in 2000, Sister to Sister has positively touched the lives of more than 18 million women through the National Women's Heart Health Campaign. To date, nearly 40,000 women of all ages, races and socioeconomic backgrounds have been screened for heart disease risk factors in 17 different local markets.
