Sun Devil water polo falls to UCLA


<p align="justify">The No. 7 Arizona State University water polo team saw its eight-game winning streak come to an end on the road Sunday afternoon as the Sun Devils dropped a 14-4 decision to No. 1 UCLA in Los Angeles. The Sun Devils slipped to 19-10 overall and 6-5 in the MPSF while the Bruins closed out their regular season schedule with a 27-0 overall record and a 12-0 mark in the league.</p><separator></separator><p align="justify">The Sun Devils took an early 1-0 lead as <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/phillippe_candice00.htm… Phillippe</a> converted a shot on the advantage with 5:13 remaining in the first stanza. But, from there, the Bruins scored 14 goals in a row, including five in the first, four in the second and five in the third for leads of 5-1, 9-1 and 14-1. In the final quarter of play, the Sun Devils did not allow a goal while <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/phelps_kelly00.html">Ke… Phelps</a> scored three times with two coming on the advantage and another on a 5-meter penalty shot. Defensively, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-wpolo/mtt/wallace_caylinn00.html"… Wallace</a> stopped seven shots, all in the first half of play.</p><separator></separator><p align="justify">ASU will close out its regular season at home next weekend as the Sun Devils play host to No. 5 San Diego State at noon at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.
