Sun Devil volleyball welcomes Sammi Stuart to the 2008 coaching staff


<p>The Sun Devil Women's Volleyball Team added another key to success as they welcome the hire of Sammi Stuart as an Assistant Coach under <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/mtt/watson_jason00.html">J… Watson</a> for the upcoming 2008 season. Stuart's responsibilities will include breaking down opponent film, overseeing the statistics programs, team travel and the liberos.</p><separator></separator><p>Before her arrival to ASU, Sammi held the position of Director of Volleyball Operations at Brigham Young University where her role encompassed all aspects of the programs video and statistical programs.</p><separator></separator><p>A native of Woodruff, Utah, Stuart attended Rich High School where she graduated with an Associate's Degree through concurrent enrollment. Stuart played basketball and volleyball at RHS, helping the Rebel volleyball team win the 1A state title all four years while earning 1A MVP honors from the Desert News in 2002. <br /><br />After receiving the Governor's Scholarship, Stuart continued her education at Utah State University, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science in 2006. She also played basketball for the Aggies from 2003-05 and was given the team's Off-season Conditioning Award following the 2004 season. <br /><br />Stuart is currently working on a Master's Degree in Exercise Pedagogy. </p>
