Sun Devil golfers perform well at Women's U.S. Open


<p> Three former members of the Arizona State women's golf team closed out their competition at the Women's U.S. Open, held at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/kang_jimin00.html">Jimin Kang</a>, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/nordqvist_anna00.html">A… Nordqvist</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/munoz_azahara00.html">Az… Munoz</a> were the three Sun Devils playing during the final round.</p><separator></separator><p>Kang was high Sun Devil alum finisher. Kang recorded her third top-20 finish of the season as she tied for 17th at 8-over 292 (76-71-74-71).</p><separator></separator><p>Nordqvist tied for 26th. The Swede shot a 9-over 293 (71-75-75-72). Nordqvist recently won her first major at the LPGA Championship.</p><separator></separator><p>Munoz carded a 12-over 296 (72-76-74-74) to tie for fourth. The Spanish amateur was aided by head coach <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/luellen_melissa00.html">… Luellen</a>, who served as her caddie during the weekend. Munoz will compete in the Women's British Open after earning an amateur exemption for winning the Ladies British Amateur last month.<!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
