Sun Angel Track Classic set for this weekend

The 29th Sun Angel Track Classic presented by Coca-Cola will be held this weekend on Joe Selleh Track at Sun Angel Stadium in Tempe as the Arizona State University track and field program welcomes some of the top teams in the nation to Valley of the Sun for what is shaping up to be a solid competition.<separator></separator>Numerous teams will be represented this weekend, including six men's and six women's teams that are ranked in the latest USTFCCCA Top 20 rankings. On the women's side, No. 1 Arizona State will face competitors from No. 5 Florida, No. 16 Auburn, No. 19 Arizona, No. 24 New Mexico and No. 25 Penn State while the seventh-ranked Sun Devil men will take on foes from No. 2 Florida, No. 9 Alabama, No. 12 Auburn, No. 13 Arizona and No. 18 Wisconsin.<separator></separator>Post-collegiate competitors also will be on hand to compete, including 2004 Olympic Long Jump Champion <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-track/mtt/phillips_dwight00.html"… Phillips</a>, who will take part in the invitational long jump at 8 p.m. Also during the premier section of the meet (starting at 7 p.m.) will be the women's invitational shot put that will feature the last three NCAA women's shot put champions in ASU's <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-track/mtt/stevens_sarah00.html">S… Stevens</a> (indoor, 2007), <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-track/mtt/pressley_jessica00.html… Pressley</a> (outdoor, 2007) and Florida's Mariam Kevkhishvili (indoor, 2008).<separator></separator>Other teams set to compete include athletes from Adams State, Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Columbia, Coppin State, Dartmouth, DePaul, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Michigan, Morgan State, Northern Arizona, Ohio State, Rhode Island, Villanova and Washington.<separator></separator>To view the complete schedule of events with start times and the heat sheets, please click on the following link: <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-track/stats/2007-2008/satc_heatsh…;
