Summer book drive for worthy cause

books

Have a bunch of books collecting dust on your bookshelves? Stacks of books cluttering your office? Consider donating them to a worthy cause.

In the spirit of community, the ASU Commission on the Status of Women is hosting a book drive to help establish a reading library for the students of the ASU Preparatory Academy at the Polytechnic campus (middle school and high school).

We are collecting a wide variety of new and used reading materials including, but not limited to: general fiction (adult and young adult), classic literature, young adult literature, and history and non-fiction texts.

The CSW Book Drive will begin June 20 and run through August 3, with drop-off locations at all campuses (list below). Our goal is to collect at least 400 books during the course of the summer drive.

A love of reading can make a huge difference in a child’s educational and personal success – and by donating to this project and helping to build a library, you can help foster the reading interests of students for years to come. Please consider donating today.

If you have any questions, contact the CSW office at asucsw@asu.edu or Karen Engler, CSW senior coordinator, at karen.engler@asu.edu.
