Spence selected by Angels of Anaheim in third round of MLB Draft

<p>Junior lefthander <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/spence_josh00.html">Jo… Spence</a> was selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the third round of the 2009 MLB Draft. Spence was the third Sun Devil taken on the first day of the draft, joining first rounder <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/leake_mike00.html">Mike Leake</a> (#8 Overall, Cincinnati) and second rounder <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/kipnis_jason00.html">J… Kipnis</a> (#63 overall, Cleveland).</p><separator></separator><p>The Australian Spence was the 110th overall selection after being drafted in the 25th round (768th overall) in last season's draft. </p>
