In this weekend’s field are: Boston University,&nbsp;Long Island and UMass. First up for the Sun Devils are the Boston&nbsp;University Terriers Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. ET.</p><separator></separator><p>Series history<br>First in the competing field this weekend are the Boston University&nbsp;Terriers whom the Sun Devils have never gone head-to-head with&nbsp;until this Friday. Way to kick a series history off with a bang!</p><separator></separator><p>Up next are the Long Island Blackbirds who ASU has seen in&nbsp;the past with the Sun Devils holding a 3-0 record since 2005 against&nbsp;LIU. All-time against Long Island, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/myers_clint01.html">Cl… Myers</a> is 1-0. Their last meeting&nbsp;came in 2006... in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the&nbsp;Hofstra Regional. Where ASU pulled off a 6-0 win.</p><separator></separator><p>Last but most certainly not least are the UMass Minutewomen,&nbsp;whom ASU are giving way more than a minutes thought about. All time&nbsp;against the wily home team from this weekend ASU is 10-2. Don’t let&nbsp;the record fool you though. The last time these teams met up was last&nbsp;season in Palm Springs where the pitchers battled it out... and UMass&nbsp;prevailed as the victor 1-0. All-time against UMass <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/myers_clint01.html">Cl… Myers</a> is 0-1.</p><separator></separator><p>Up next<br>Should the Sun Devils emerge as the victor of the Amherst Regional,&nbsp;they’d take on the winners of the Gainsvile Regional who’s top&nbsp;seed are the 2009 WCWS runner-up themselves, the Florida Gators.</p>
