Share the holiday spirit

<p>Now that you are in the holiday spirit, it may be time to share your good fortune. The Downtown Phoenix campus can help. The DPC is supporting two supply drives to help out Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) and the residents of the Westward Ho. To help support CASS, new and gently used men’s and women’s clothing can be dropped off at the following locations through Dec. 14: Post Office, Suite 202; University Center Security Office; Mercado Building C, second floor reception area; and the College of Nursing &amp; Healthcare Innovation reception area on the first floor. Information: (602) 496-1002.</p><separator></separator><p><br />Student and Campus Community Development, the Phoenix Police Downtown Operations Unit and ASU Downtown Phoenix campus Police are coordinating the second annual In the Spirit of Giving Campaign. As we rush to finalize our holiday shopping we have an opportunity to share our good fortune and support the folks living at the Westward Ho. There are over 350 people residing in the facility, all of whom are on a fixed income and they often find themselves running short on items by the end of the month. The staff of the Westward Ho coordinates a shared community closet for these situations and can use our help restocking the closet. All donations will be recognized as coming from the ASU Downtown Phoenix campus. We have identified the following options for drop off points available after 10:00 a.m. - The Security Office on the first floor of the UCENT - Suite 104 of the Post Office OR if needed call Rich Wilson at 602.496.1230 or Kim Novak at 602.496.1201 and they will arrange a pick up.<br /> <br />Staff will deliver items the morning of Friday December 21, 2007 so please have items to drop off points prior to that time. Please do not include used items. Needed items include: toilet paper, bars of body soap ( preferred over bottles), shampoo and conditioner, dry dog food and cans of cat food, kitty litter (residents have pets), shaving cream, laundry soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, deodorant men&#39;s and women&#39;s, fabric softener sheets, crossword puzzle books large print, jigsaw puzzles, handkerchiefs, facial tissue, ladies slippers or slipper socks, men&#39;s socks (crew style), blankets and sheets (full or queen).</p><separator></separator><p><br />NOTE: The Downtown Phoenix campus cannot accept items on behalf of any organization unless they have an official ASU department or organization sponsor.
