Reavie, Borsheim and Marquez join list of men's golf graduates under Randy Lein


<p><a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/spec-rel/100405aaa.html">Cli… here for a list of Sun Devil men's golfers who have earned their degrees under Coach Lein</a></p><separator></separator><p>&nbsp;</p><separator></separator><p>Men's golf standout <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/reavie_chez00.html">Chez Reavie</a>, the 2001 Public Links Champion who earned second-team All-American honors in 2004 and honorable mention honors in 2001 and 2003, has finished his undergraduate work and will graduate this weekend with a B.I.S. degree, with concentrations in political science and sociology.</p><separator></separator><p>He will be joined by fellow club grippers <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/borsheim_knut00.html">Kn… Borsheim</a> (B.A., Finance) and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/marquez_braxton00.html">… Marquez</a> (B.I.S., Family Studies/Sociology), as head coach <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/lein_randy00.html">Randy Lein's</a> graduate list is now at 52 since he took over the job in 1992.</p><separator></separator><p>Reavie finished career with 22 top-10 finishes in 43 collegiate events and a 72.05 stroke average. He won the 2001 U.S. Public Links Champion, becoming the third Sun Devil to win the title, joining Billy Mayfair (1986) and John Jackson, Jr. (1969). Reavie had two NCAA Championship top-10 finishes as he tied for fourth in 2001 in Raleigh, N.C., and was ninth in Stillwater, Okla., in 2003. He also won the 2001 Mesa City Championships at Dobson Golf Course with a 15-under 129 (64-65), an eight-stroke victory over Jim Otten.</p><separator></separator><p>Borsheim was the 2009-10 Pac-10 Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a 2010 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Third-Team Academic All-American. He also earned 2009 honorable mention All-American by Golf Coaches Association of America and Golfweek, was a three-time Pac-10 All-Academic team first-team selection (2008, 2009 and 2010) and a second-team All-Pac-10 honoree in 2007-08 and 2008-09 and honorable mention in 2090-10.</p><separator></separator><p>Marquez (2007-10) competed in 19 events in his three-year career at ASU and had a 74.44 stroke average. He finished third at the 2008 Jim Colbert Intercollegiate and tied for third at the 2008 ASU thunderbird Invitational.</p><separator></separator><!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
