Nixon, Nordqvist named Athletes of the Week

<p> <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/nordqvist_anna00.html">A… Nordqvist</a> (women's golf) and linebacker <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/nixon_mike00.html">Mike Nixon</a> (football) have been chosen as the Arizona State University Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 18. Both gave exceptional performances in their respective sports over the weekend.</p><separator></separator><p>Nixon was a bright spot on Saturday in Arizona State's tough fall to Southern California. The junior linebacker had a sack, an interception and eight tackles against the Trojans.</p><separator></separator><p>Nordqvist placed second over the weekend at the 2008 World Amateur Team Championship in Adelade, Australia. The junior standout shot 9-under 281 (70-68-74-69) and led her home country, Sweden, to win the tourney.</p>
