Men's golf travels to Hawaii to open the spring season


<p> The ASU Men's golf team begins the Spring season this week at the University of Hawaii-Hilo Big Island Invitational. The three-day, 18-team event begins Wednesday at the Waikoloa Village Golf Course on the big island. This is the 18th annual playing of this event, which attracts some of the best teams across the country. Along with ASU, five other Pac-10 schools are attending this year's event, including defending champion Stanford.</p><separator></separator><p>The lineup for the Sun Devils will include: senior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/telliard_phil00.html">Ph… Telliard</a> (Riverside, Calif.), sophomore <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/borsheim_knut00.html">Kn… Borsheim</a> (Bergen, Norway), freshman <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/kennegard_jesper00.html"… Kennegard</a> (Klippan, Sweden), freshman Stephen Gross (Leimen, Germany) and sophomore Braxton Marquez (Scottsdale, Ariz.). This is the first action for Stephen Gross and Braxton Marquez as they joined the team this semester.</p><separator></separator><p>Three former Sun Devils competed in the FBR Open at the TPC of Scottsdale last weekend and did not disappoint. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/mickelson_phil00.html">P… Mickelson</a> finished second after losing a one hole playoff, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/quinney_jeff00.html">Jeff Quinney</a> shot the second best final round score and tied for 17th and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/reavie_chez00.html">Chez Reavie</a> solidified his place on the top 40 of the PGA tour money list.</p><separator></separator><p>Live scoring will be provided on www.golfstat.com.</p&gt;
