Men's golf team ranked third in final fall poll
<p>The men's golf team has been ranked third in the final Golf World/Nike Golf Division 1 Coaches' Poll of the 2009 fall season.</p><separator></separator><p>The Sun Devils began the fall season with a first-place finish at the Olympia Fields Invitational in Chicago. Battling against a field that included six teams ranked in the top-10, ASU finished two strokes ahead of No. 2 Oklahoma State and six strokes ahead of No. 1 Stanford. Arizona State placed third a week later at the PING Preview in Seattle and came in 12th at the Isleworth Invitational at the end of October.</p><separator></separator><p>Oklahoma State held onto the top spot in the poll, while Stanford moved into second. No. 4 Florida and No. 5 Florida State round out the top-five.</p><separator></separator><p>The complete results from Divisions I, II, III and the NAIA, will appear in the Nov. 30 issue of Golf World and can be viewed at www.golfworld.com on Dec. 2.</p><separator></separator>The Sun Devils begin the 2010 spring season on Feb. 3, at the three-day Hilo Big Island Invitational in Kona, Hawaii. <!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
