Men's golf looks to stay hot this weekend in Las Vegas

The ASU Men's golf team looks to build on their season best finish last month as they travel to the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship. This tournament, hosted by UNLV, is being played at Southern Highlands Golf Club, which is known as one of the premier courses in Nevada. This three-day event begins Friday at 9 am MST and continues through Sunday. Along with ASU, the fifteen-team field includes three other Pac-10 teams, most notably UCLA who is defending the champion.

This week's lineup for ASU will be one of the youngest ever as three freshmen and two sophomores take to the course. Hitting the links this week will be: sophomore Knut Borsheim (Bergen, Norway), sophomore Braxton Marquez (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and freshmen Jesper Kennegard (Klippan, Sweden), Stephen Gross (Leimen, Germany) and Scott Pickney (Anthem, Ariz.).

The young Sun Devil lineup will take on some of the nations best teams this weekend and maybe meet a few celebrities along the way. Southern Highlands is home to many stars including Tiger Woods, LeBron James, and former Sun Devil Reggie Jackson.

Live scoring will be provided on www.golfstat.com.
