Men's golf advances in the Callaway Collegiate


The No. 9 seed Sun Devils defeated Charlotte 3-1-1 in the second round of match play as three out of five golfers won their respective matches. ASU advanced in the consolation bracket to face No. 11 seed Chattanooga in the third and final round of the Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championship.

Jesper Kennegard won his second consecutive match, the only Sun Devil to do so, 8 and 6 over Paul Ferrier. Fellow sophomore Stephan GrossTristan Bierenbroodspot defeated Ryan Wilson 3 and 2. Spencer Fletcher halved Blake Stark, while Knut Borsheim fell 2 and 1 to Corey Nagy. trounced Stefan Wiedergruen 6 and 5, and

Middle Tennessee advanced to the championship and will face the winner of the Indiana- UCLA match, which was postponed due to darkness.
