McKenna returns home as an ITA All-American Champion


<p>With her last loss coming September 20, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/mckenna_kelcy00.html">… McKenna</a> entered Sunday's ITA All-American Championship Finals on an eight-match winning streak, and she didn't disappoint. By the end of the day, Kelcy had added another straight-set win to her record with her 6-4, 6-3 win over Auburn's Fani Chifchieva to claim the title of ITA All-American Champion.</p><separator></separator><p>McKenna took control early in the match and never looked back. While Chifchieva hung tough, the effort wasn't enough as McKenna rattled off a straight-set win for her ninth consecutive win and an ITA All-American Championship. The title is the second for ASU in as many years as <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/clarke_roxanne00.html"… Clarke</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/pooler_kady00.html">Ka… Pooler</a> won the doubles ITA Championship in 2006.</p><separator></separator><p>The Sun Devils will now rest between tournaments before gearing up for the National Individual Indoors in Charlottesvile, Va. November 6-9 and the ASU Thunderbird Invitational November 7-9 in Tempe.</p><separator></separator><!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
