McKenna bounds up new ITA National Singles rankings
Senior All-American Kelcy McKenna bounded up the most recent ITA National singles rankings, jumping from 34th to 17th in the rankings, which were released Feb. 14. McKenna, who won the Cal Nike Invitational and the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, is currently 17-2 in singles play on the season.
Freshman Jacqueline Cako earned her way in to the ITA singles rankings as well, making her debut ranked 44th. Cako has been a consistent force for the Sun Devils, going 12-1 in singles play, including winning her last nine straight matches.
Senior All-American Micaela Hein also made the rankings at No. 82. Hein is a perfect 5-0 in dual matches this season, playing in the No. 2 and 3 positions.
The doubles team of Ashlee Brown and Sianna Simmons is ranked 31st in the nation according to the ITA rankings. Brown and Simmons are also undefeated in dual play, winning six straight doubles matches for the Sun Devils.
No. 21 Arizona State next faces 32nd-ranked USF and 27th-ranked Texas in Austin, Feb. 26-27.
