Marrero leads baseball in BYU sweep

The Sun Devils improve to 41-5 on the season with the victory.</p><separator></separator><p>Marrero was 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the fourth and a two-run triple in the eighth to lead the Sun Devil offensive attack. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/maggi_drew00.html">Drew Maggi</a>, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/ruettiger_johnny00.htm… Ruettiger</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/torrez_raoul00.html">R… Torrez</a> also had two hits each in the victory.</p><separator></separator><p><a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/kelly_merrill00.html">… Kelly</a> started and went three innings, allowing three hits and one unearned run with two strikeouts, but he left on a pitch count and took a no decision. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/borup_jake00.html">Jake Borup</a> came on from the bullpen to earn the win and improve to 10-1 on the season. Borup went the middle three innings, giving up five hits and one unearned run. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/lambson_mitchell00.htm… Lambson</a>, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/barrett_jake00.html">J… Barrett</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/swagerty_jordan00.html… Swagerty</a> combined to pitch the final three innings, striking out seven and not allowing a hit.</p><separator></separator><p>BYU took the lead in the first with a run scored on a balk by Kelly, but the Sun Devils tied the game in the third on an RBI single by Maggi.
