Leake named finalist for Pitcher of the Year Award

Arizona State University junior pitcher <a href="/sports/m-basebl/mtt/leake_mike00.html">Mike Leake</a> has been named one of five finalists for the Pitcher of the Year Award, the College Baseball Foundation announced Friday.<separator></separator>Leake (Fallbrook, Calif.) is 13-1 with a 1.35 ERA and has 116 strikeouts with just 18 walks on the season. He leads the Pacific-10 Conference in wins, ERA, strikeouts and innings pitched (106.2), and he has thrown five complete games this season.
