Lawrence Trice named ASU Male Athlete of the Week

Track & Field runner Lawrence Trice has been named ASU's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 30. In his first race of the season, Trice recorded a time of 6.66 in the 60m dash, to take home first place. The Sun Devils will return to action at a pair of meets next weekend with some of the team returning to Flagstaff to compete in the Mountain `T' Invitational while others will travel to Seattle for the Washington Invitational.

Trice clocked a time of 6.66 (converted to 6.70 for altitude) to win the 60m dash at the Friday Night Challenge in Flagstaff, Ariz., and provisionally qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships. Trice's time also ranks as the fourth-best all-time in ASU history and currently ranks him tied for seventh-best in the nation for the 2010 indoor season after his first run of the season.
