Kayli Murphy named ASU Female Athlete of the Week

<p> Women's basketball player <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/murphy_kayli01.html">K… Murphy</a> has been named ASU's Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 19th. Her career-best performance against North Dakota catapulted the Sun Devils, as they once again dominated the Sparky's Kids to College Field Trip game. With the 67-43 victory over North Dakota, Murphy and the Sun Devils are now 7-1 on the season as they head into the Desert Sun Classic, which is held in Las Vegas, Nev.</p><separator></separator><p>Murphy led the Sun Devils to a victory over North Dakota in the annual Sparky's Kids to College Field Trip game. She recorded a new career high in points with 15, on 6-10 shooting from the field. To go along with her new career high in points, Murphy also recorded 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Murphy and the Sun Devils will focus on their finals before they prepare for the Desert Sun Classic, which takes place on the 19th and 20th of December. The Sun Devils will first take on Texas A&M, then the Baylor Bears on the following day.</p>
