Johnson to play in Kraft Nabisco Invitational

The first major of the year will be held at the par 72, 6,702-yard Dinah Shore Tournament Course at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The tournament will begin on Thursday April 1st and conclude on April 4th.</p><separator></separator><p>Johnson is one of seven amateurs to have received an amateur exemption for the LPGA major. This is the second time Johnson will participate in the Kraft Nabisco Championship and will be the third time she has competed in a professional event.</p><separator></separator><p>Johnson has made an instant impact to the Sun Devils' lineup. She has finished in the top 10 in five out of six tournaments and is 13th in the latest Golf Stat Cup rankings. In amateur play, Johnson was the 2009 U.S. Women's Amateur runner-up and was a member of the victorious U.S. Junior Solheim Team and U.S. Spirit Team.</p><separator></separator><p>Several other competitors at the Kraft Nabisco Championship were once sporting the maroon and gold. <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/kang_jimin00.html">Jimin Kang</a>, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/nordqvist_anna00.html">A… Nordqvist</a>, Grace Park and Wendy Ward will also compete at the major.
