Johnson named ASU Athlete of the Week

<p>Women's golfer <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/johnson_jennifer00.html"… Johnson</a> has been named ASU's Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 29th. Johnson finished her freshman campaign in remarkable fashion by placing second at the 2010 NCAA Championship, while also leading the team to a fourth-place finish. Johnson, with a stroke average of 72.40, ended the season ranked sixth in the Golfweek Sagarin Rankings and eighth in the Golf Stat Cup.</p><separator></separator><p>In her first appearance at an NCAA Championship, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/johnson_jennifer00.html"… Johnson</a> finished runner up at the 2010 NCAA Championship. The freshman led for three rounds before finishing 8-under 280 (67-70-70-73) and leading the team to a fourth place finish. For her outstanding performance all season long, she was recognized as the NGCA Freshman of the Year on top of earning NGCA All-American honors.</p><separator></separator><!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
