Innovative solutions wanted

Has your team made significant contributions to ASU and higher education through the creation, development and implementation of innovative projects, programs, initiatives, services or techniques? If the answer is yes, then your team could be the next winner of the ASU President’s Award for Innovation.

Innovative projects are game-changers. Think for a minute what life at ASU was like before we had My ASU. My ASU, which won the President’s Award for Innovation in 2011, was the brainchild of a cross-departmental team who created the customized, integrated, interactive technology essential to life at ASU for all students, faculty and staff.

iTeachAZ, the undergraduate teacher preparation program created by the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, is another recent award winner. iTeachAZ works in concert with Arizona’s public schools to provide pre-service teachers with more content area coursework and double the amount of classroom experience than student-teachers in other colleges of education.

If you think your project meets the award criteria, fill out an application form now, so you don’t miss the Jan. 9, 2014 deadline. In addition to the satisfaction of knowing that your work really is changing the world, your team will be recognized by President Michael Crow at a reception and award ceremony in April 2014.
