Ike Davis named Pac-10 Player of the Week

March 11, 2008

Arizona State junior 1B/LHP Ike Davis has been named the Pac-10 Player of the Week, the conference announced today. It is the second time in his career he has earned the honor from the conference.

Davis, from Scottsdale, Ariz., went 9-of-20 (.450) with seven RBI, nine runs scored and two homers to help lead the Sun Devils to a perfect 5-0 mark on the week. He also threw 1.1 innings over two games, striking out all four batters he faced and picked up the win on Saturday, the same night he turned in his first ever multi-homer game.
