Golfweek names ASU women's golf "Team of the Week"


<p> The Arizona State women's golf team has been named Women's Team of the Week by Golfweek. The Sun Devils won the Duramed Fall Preview, which featured many of the top teams in the nation and was held at the site of the 2009 NCAA Championship in Owing Mills, Md. The Sun Devils, who were seven shots off the lead going into the final round, finished eight shots better than defending national champion and second-place USC.<br /><br />The Sun Devils had three golfers place in the top 10. Junior All-American <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/nordqvist_anna00.html">A… Nordqvist</a> was runner-up at 2-under 214 (69-76-69). Reigning NCAA individual champion <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/munoz_azahara00.html">Az… Munoz</a> shot par to tie for fourth while senior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/osborn_jennifer00.html">… Osborn</a> tied for ninth at 2-over 218.<br /><br />The Sun Devils will next head to Mason Rudolph Invitational in Franklin, Tenn.
