Gerald Munns named Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week

Arizona State University junior linebacker <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/munns_gerald00.html">G… Munns</a> has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week.<br /><br />Munns led the ASU defense in limiting Stanford to 233 yards of total offense in the Sun Devils' 41-17 victory on Saturday. He intercepted a pass on the Cardinal's opening possession of the second half, which was the first of three turnovers ASU forced in the win, and it led to a touchdown that put the Sun Devils ahead 27-10. He also deflected a pass in the fourth quarter that was intercepted by safety <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/nolan_troy00.html">Troy Nolan</a>.<br /><br />Munns accomplished this with cast on his hand for a broken finger.<br /><br />California running back Jahvid Best and Arizona kick returner Keola Antolin joined Munns as the U.S. Bank Pac-10 Football Players of the Week.<!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
