FSN Arizona to televise ASU women's soccer against California
TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State women's soccer game with California, currently ranked No. 12 by Soccer America, on Friday, Oct. 26 will be televised live by Fox Sports Net Arizona. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.
"This is a great opportunity for the Arizona State soccer program," said Arizona State head coach Kevin Boyd. "I'm excited for our student-athletes and the chance they will have to play before a televised audience."
Boyd, who was named the third head coach in program history last March, will be facing his former team for the first time. Boyd coached at California from 1997-2006, where he led the Golden Bears to eight NCAA appearances.
Last season, the Sun Devils pulled out a 1-0 upset of the then No. 12 Bears in Berkeley, Calif. ASU's all-time record with Cal stands at 4-5-1.
The Sun Devils are currently 6-4 through the halfway mark of the 2007 season. They play host to No. 19 San Diego Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.
